Writer / translator / poet, originally from Southern New England’s Connecticut River Valley (USA)

Japanese permanent resident based in Nagano prefecture, central Japan (13 years in the country)

BA in anthropology (with honors), University of Connecticut

Over three years in New York City’s travel industry

More than a decade teaching English and international education in Japan

Besides time in Japan, nearly three years cumulatively spent travelling in over 20 countries

I currently live in a village of less than 900 people at the foot of a sacred mountain surrounded by dense forest and inhabited by more monkeys than you’d care to meet. It’s a fantastic environment for helping my clients reach their goals. I’ll be glad to put my travel industry experience, linguistic skills, and familiarity with Japanese culture to work for you.
